What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Chicken Guy Franchise Disclosure Document, if the franchised restaurant is the first Chicken Guy restaurant developed by the franchisee or its affiliates, Chicken Guy will conduct on-site team member training for non-management staff. This training will last for 7 days prior to and 7 days after the restaurant's opening, totaling 14 days of on-site support.
This on-site training is a significant benefit for new franchisees, as it provides direct support and guidance during the critical opening phase. However, the franchisee is responsible for reimbursing Chicken Guy for the reasonable travel and lodging accommodation expenses incurred by Chicken Guy's training personnel during this period. This cost should be factored into the initial investment and operating budget.
It is important to note that the franchisee must request this training in writing within seven days of receiving the certificate of occupancy for the franchised restaurant. This ensures that Chicken Guy can schedule and coordinate its personnel effectively. Chicken Guy will then schedule the arrival of its personnel as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the franchisee's request, arriving no later than 30 days after the request is received, unless the restaurant is deemed unsafe or not ready for training.
