What is Exhibit D in the Chicken Guy FDD?
Chicken_Guy Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
If you and the area in which you are interested meet certain qualifications, you can buy the rights to develop one or more Franchised Restaurants within a geographic area ("Development Territory") by signing a Development Agreement (Exhibit D) and paying the Development Fee. You must agree to develop at least one Chicken Guy! Restaurant under the Development Agreement, however most developers agree to develop three to five Chicken Guy! Restaurants under the Development Agreement. If you are developing a Franchised Restaurant under a Development Agreement, you will sign our thencurrent form of Franchise Agreement (which may differ from the form of Franchise Agreement included as Exhibit E) within 90 days after we approve the site for the Franchised Restaurant.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Chicken Guy FDD, Exhibit D is the Development Agreement. This agreement is relevant if a prospective franchisee is interested in acquiring the rights to develop multiple Chicken Guy restaurants within a specific geographic area, known as a Development Territory.
To secure these development rights, the franchisee must meet certain qualifications and the area of interest must also meet certain qualifications. The franchisee must sign the Development Agreement and pay a Development Fee to Chicken Guy. While the agreement mandates the development of at least one Chicken Guy restaurant, the FDD notes that most developers commit to opening three to five locations under this agreement.
Furthermore, if a franchisee is developing a Chicken Guy restaurant under a Development Agreement, they are required to sign the then-current form of the Franchise Agreement (which may differ from the Franchise Agreement included as Exhibit E) within 90 days after Chicken Guy approves the site for the Franchised Restaurant. This indicates that the terms of the Franchise Agreement could be subject to change between the time the Development Agreement is signed and the time a specific restaurant site is approved.
