What are some examples of statements or materials that Chicken Guy prohibits in franchisee advertising?
Chicken_Guy Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
Unless we otherwise agree in writing, advertising that is funded by the Brand Fund or any Regional Advertising Funds or Regional Co-ops must conform to those advertising and sales promotions that we
specify from time to time. We, or our designee, have the right to terminate (and subsequently restart) any of the advertising and cooperative funds and establish different advertising and/or cooperative funds. We may incorporate any advertising fund and may have a separate entity manage any advertising fund. We will not use any of the advertising funds for advertising that is principally a solicitation for the sale of franchises. We have not established an advertising cooperative or an advisory council of franchisees to provide input on advertising matters, but we reserve the right to do so in the future.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Chicken Guy Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisee advertising funded by the Brand Fund, Regional Advertising Funds, or Regional Co-ops must conform to the advertising and sales promotions specified by Chicken Guy, unless otherwise agreed to in writing. This means Chicken Guy has control over the advertising content and materials used in these contexts. Franchisees need to ensure their advertising aligns with Chicken Guy's standards when using these funds.
Chicken Guy, or its designee, has the right to terminate and restart any advertising and cooperative funds and establish different advertising and/or cooperative funds. They may also incorporate any advertising fund and have a separate entity manage it. However, Chicken Guy will not use any of the advertising funds for advertising that is principally a solicitation for the sale of franchises. This protects franchisees from having their advertising fees used to recruit new franchisees rather than promote the Chicken Guy brand to customers.
While Chicken Guy has not established an advertising cooperative or an advisory council of franchisees to provide input on advertising matters as of the FDD date, they reserve the right to do so in the future. This means franchisees currently do not have a formal mechanism to influence advertising strategies, but this could change. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand that Chicken Guy retains significant control over advertising and marketing efforts, especially those funded through the Brand Fund and Regional Advertising Funds.
