What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Chicken Guy FDD, the terms of the Addendum govern and control in the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Addendum and the provisions of the Lease. The Addendum and the Lease are to be read as one document. Any capitalized terms not defined in the Addendum will have the meanings given to them in the Lease.
This clause is included in the Addendum to Lease Agreement, which is signed by the landlord and the franchisee. The purpose of the Addendum is to ensure that the lease contains certain provisions that are favorable to Chicken Guy, such as the right to use the Proprietary Marks and the right to enter the premises to make modifications.
For a prospective Chicken Guy franchisee, this means that the Addendum is a critical document that protects the interests of both the franchisee and the franchisor. Franchisees should carefully review the Addendum with their attorney to ensure that they understand their rights and obligations under the lease. This also ensures that the landlord is aware of Chicken Guy's rights and interests in the property.
