What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Chicken Guy Franchise Disclosure Document, a 'Website' is defined as one or more related documents, designs, or other communications accessible through electronic means. This definition encompasses a broad range of online platforms.
Specifically, the definition includes, but is not limited to, the Internet, the World Wide Web, and social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, blogs, vlogs, and other applications. This broad definition ensures that Chicken Guy can maintain control over its brand's image and customer interactions across all digital channels.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that any online presence related to the Chicken Guy franchise, whether it's a traditional website or a social media profile, falls under the purview of the franchise agreement. Chicken Guy has the right to approve the form and content of any website related to the restaurant, including visible and non-visible content like meta-tags. Chicken Guy may also require the franchisee to use websites that Chicken Guy owns or controls. This also means that franchisees must get written approval from Chicken Guy for any Electronic Identifiers related to the restaurant, proposed form and content of any Website, use of hyperlinks or other links, use of materials in which any third party has an ownership interest and any proposed modification of the franchisee's Website.
