What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Chicken Guy Franchise Disclosure Document, if Chicken Guy dismisses a trainee from the initial manager training program because they don't believe the person will perform acceptably, the franchisee must provide a suitable replacement within one month of the dismissal.
This means that a Chicken Guy franchisee needs to have a contingency plan in place to quickly identify and send a replacement employee to the training program if someone is dismissed. The one-month deadline is important because Chicken Guy will not authorize the franchised restaurant to open until an adequate number of employees have successfully completed the initial manager training program. Any delay in providing a replacement could therefore delay the restaurant opening.
This requirement ensures that Chicken Guy maintains a consistent standard of management across all its franchise locations. It also places a responsibility on the franchisee to carefully select and prepare employees for the manager training program, to minimize the risk of dismissal and the need for a replacement. The franchisee is responsible for the travel, living, food, and other incidental expenses incurred by the replacement employee while attending the training.
