What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chicken Guy may charge franchisees a fee for website-related services. Specifically, Chicken Guy can charge a franchisee for developing, reviewing, and approving the franchisee's website, as well as for hosting the website.

This means that if a prospective franchisee requires Chicken Guy to develop their website, or even just review and approve a website they've developed themselves, Chicken Guy is entitled to charge a fee. Similarly, Chicken Guy can charge franchisees for the ongoing service of hosting their websites. This is in addition to requiring franchisees to establish hyperlinks to Chicken Guy's website or another website designated by Chicken Guy.

Furthermore, Chicken Guy may elect to register and own any domain names or other electronic identifiers intended for the franchisee's use in connection with their franchised restaurant. In such cases, while Chicken Guy will provide administrative access to these identifiers, the franchisee is responsible for content development, creation, and maintenance. The franchisee must also reimburse Chicken Guy for all out-of-pocket costs and expenses incurred in registering or renewing any electronic identifier immediately upon receiving an invoice.
