Chicken_Guy Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

The length of our initial manager training program averages four weeks to learn the required skills. We may increase or decrease the length of the initial manager training program at our discretion based upon your managers' prior restaurant experience and actual training success. We offer these training programs periodically during the year on an as-needed basis. The initial manager training program is scheduled so that it is completed sufficiently in advance of your Franchised Restaurant's initial opening to afford adequate time for the Franchised Restaurant set-up and the hiring and training of team members before the opening of the Franchised Restaurant. Currently, we do not charge a fee for the initial manager training program; however, you must pay all travel, living, food and other incidental expenses incurred by you and your employees while attending the training. We reserve the right to dismiss from the initial manager training program any person whom we do not believe will perform acceptably in the position for which he has been hired by you and you shall provide a suitable replacement within one month of such dismissal.

This initial manager training program is mandatory for all franchisees. The following chart summarizes the subjects taught during the initial manager training program in the operation of a Chicken Guy! Restaurant:

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chicken Guy's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial manager training program averages four weeks. This training is designed to equip managers with the skills necessary to operate a Chicken Guy restaurant. However, Chicken Guy may adjust the length of the training program based on a manager's prior restaurant experience and their performance during training.

The initial manager training program is mandatory for all franchisees and is scheduled to be completed before the restaurant opens, allowing time for setup and team member training. Franchisees are responsible for covering all travel, living, and food expenses for themselves and their employees during the training period. Chicken Guy reserves the right to dismiss anyone from the program who they believe will not perform adequately, and the franchisee must provide a replacement within one month.

At least 45 days before the restaurant's opening, Chicken Guy will provide the initial manager training program to the franchisee (or their Operating Principal) and up to two designated managers. The training includes both classroom instruction and on-the-job training at a company-operated Chicken Guy restaurant. Upon completing the training, participants must pass an exam to receive a "Certificate of Completion" and become certified to operate the franchise. Chicken Guy requires at least one certified manager per restaurant and will not authorize the restaurant to open until an adequate number of managers have completed the training and been certified.

If a manager assumes a management position after the restaurant opens, they must attend the initial manager training program within 30 days of starting their role. Chicken Guy may also require franchisees, their Operating Principal, restaurant managers, and other designated employees to complete additional training courses beyond the initial program. While Chicken Guy does not currently charge tuition for these additional programs, they reserve the right to do so in the future. Franchisees are responsible for all travel and living expenses associated with any training programs.
