Additional Training Programs

We have the right to require that you (or your Operating Principal), your restaurant managers, and any other employees that we designate take and successfully complete other training courses in addition to the initial manager training program. Although we do not currently charge a tuition fee for these additional training programs, we may do so in the future. We also reserve the right to modify the elements of the initial manager training program and any additional training programs, in our sole discretion. You will be required to pay all travel, living, food and other incidental expenses incurred by you and your employees while attending any training program.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Chicken Guy FDD, Chicken Guy has the right to mandate that franchisees, their operating principals, restaurant managers, and any other designated employees complete additional training courses beyond the initial manager training program. While Chicken Guy does not currently charge tuition for these additional programs, they reserve the right to do so in the future. Franchisees are responsible for covering all travel, living, food, and incidental expenses incurred by themselves and their employees while attending any training program.

Chicken Guy also requires franchisees to conduct additional initial and continuing training programs for their employees as they may require from time to time. Prior to opening, the franchisee or a certified manager must train all newly hired team members in restaurant operations. Chicken Guy will not authorize the restaurant to open until an adequate number of employees have successfully completed this team member training, the determination of which is based on the restaurant's size, location, hours, and proposed work hours per team member.

These additional training requirements ensure that all Chicken Guy locations maintain consistent standards of operation and service. The potential for future tuition fees and the responsibility for covering travel and related expenses are important financial considerations for prospective franchisees. Franchisees should inquire about the frequency, duration, and content of these additional training programs to better understand the ongoing investment in employee development.
