  • A. Chick-fil-A has developed and licenses a restaurant system for, among other things, the marketing and franchising of a branded network of Chick-fil-A restaurants (as defined below, the "System") and holds the right to authorize the adoption and licensed use of the System by third-parties at franchised Chick-fil-A restaurant businesses.

Chick-fil-A desires to license and grant the Operator the rights necessary to own and operate a franchise regarding one or more restaurant businesses under certain valuable trade names, service marks and trademarks, including the trade name "Chickfil-A," and the Operator desires to own and operate each such restaurant business pursuant to the franchise granted in this Agreement, all subject to the terms and conditions below.
