What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chem Dry's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, certain states require that the Franchise Disclosure Document be registered or filed, or be exempt from registration. These states are California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
For a prospective Chem Dry franchisee, this means that the FDD is officially recognized and approved (or explicitly exempted) by these states' regulatory bodies. This provides an additional layer of scrutiny and consumer protection, as these states have specific franchise laws in place to govern the offer and sale of franchises.
It is important to note that Chem Dry's ability to offer franchises in these states is contingent upon maintaining compliance with these registration, filing, or exemption requirements. The FDD is effective and can be used in these states as of the effective dates stated in the document. A prospective franchisee should confirm with Chem Dry that the FDD is current and valid in their specific state before making any decisions.
