If a Chem Dry franchisee is a transferee, how long do they have to complete the required training?

According to Chem Dry's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a transferee franchisee must complete the required training within 90 days of executing the Franchise Agreement. This training must be completed by attending a session in Logan, Utah, or at another location designated by Chem Dry.

This requirement ensures that all new Chem Dry franchisees, including those who acquire an existing franchise, are properly trained in the Chem Dry system. The training covers essential aspects of the business, such as mixing and applying cleaning solutions, using equipment, computing estimates, soliciting and maintaining business, and managing inventory. The initial franchise package includes training tuition for two people, but Chem Dry may charge tuition for additional trainees or for training related to the transfer of an existing franchise. As of the effective date of the FDD, the tuition amount is $75.00 per day per attendee. Failing to complete the training satisfactorily can lead to further required training at the franchisee's expense, and ultimately, termination of the Franchise Agreement.
