What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chem Dry's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chem Dry does not guarantee that the negotiated prices for uniforms, computers, computer software/applications, web hosting services, background checks, tradeshow displays, payroll services, van graphics, and credit card services will be the lowest available prices. Chem Dry has negotiated with companies for these items, but the FDD does not state or imply any guarantee of the lowest prices. As a franchisee, you would need to evaluate the negotiated prices against other options to ensure you are getting a competitive rate.
While Chem Dry negotiates prices with certain vendors, franchisees are not obligated to use these vendors for insurance coverage. Chem Dry has negotiated with an insurance broker to provide coverage at a discounted rate, but franchisees can choose their own insurance broker as long as they maintain the minimum required business and vehicle liability coverage. This flexibility allows franchisees to seek out the best possible insurance rates and coverage options for their specific needs.
It is important to note that Chem Dry may receive rebates or other payments from approved suppliers based on sales made to franchisees. For the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023, Chem Dry collected $74,859 in revenue from these rebates, representing 0.24% of their total revenue. These payments are used to offset the costs of the franchisee convention and support their supplier marketing program. While this arrangement does not directly impact the prices franchisees pay, it is a factor to consider when evaluating the overall value of using approved suppliers.
