FRANCHISEE acknowledges and agrees that FRANCHISEE alone will exercise day-to-day control over all operations, activities and elements of the BUSINESS and that under no circumstance shall CDI do so or be deemed to do so.
FRANCHISEE further acknowledges and agrees, that the various requirements, restrictions, prohibitions, specifications and procedures of the Franchise System which FRANCHISEE is required to comply with under this Agreement, whether set forth in the Manual or otherwise, do not directly or indirectly constitute, suggest, infer or imply that CDI controls any aspect or element of the day-to-day operations of the BUSINESS, which FRANCHISEE alone controls, but only constitute brand standards FRANCHISEE must adhere to when exercising control of the day-to-day operations of the BUSINESS.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Chem Dry's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee has exclusive control over the daily operations of their business. Chem Dry explicitly states that it will not exercise control over these day-to-day activities.
This means that as a Chem Dry franchisee, you are responsible for making all operational decisions, managing staff, and ensuring the business runs smoothly on a daily basis. While Chem Dry provides a franchise system with brand standards, methods, and procedures, franchisees are responsible for implementing these standards in their daily operations.
Chem Dry's standards and requirements do not imply that Chem Dry controls the day-to-day operations of the business. Instead, the franchisee alone controls these operations, and must adhere to Chem Dry's brand standards. This arrangement allows franchisees to manage their business while benefiting from the established Chem Dry brand and system.
