FRANCHISEE shall hire all employees of the BUSINESS and will be exclusively responsible for the terms of their employment, compensation and proper training; however, FRANCHISEE shall not hire, retain or utilize any independent contractors to perform services for customers.

- FRANCHISEE acknowledges and agrees that FRANCHISEE alone will exercise day-to-day control over all operations, activities and elements of the BUSINESS and that under no circumstance shall CDI do so or be deemed to do so. FRANCHISEE further acknowledges and agrees, that the various requirements, restrictions, prohibitions, specifications and procedures of the Franchise System which FRANCHISEE is required to comply with under this Agreement, whether set forth in the Manual or otherwise, do not directly or indirectly constitute, suggest, infer or imply that CDI controls any aspect or element of the day-to-day operations of the BUSINESS, which FRANCHISEE alone controls, but only constitute brand standards FRANCHISEE must adhere to when exercising control of the day-to-day operations of the BUSINESS.

According to Chem Dry's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee has sole control over the day-to-day operations, activities, and elements of their Chem-Dry business. Chem Dry, the franchisor, under no circumstance, will exercise control over the business.
This means that as a Chem Dry franchisee, you are responsible for making all the decisions related to running your business. This includes managing employees, handling customer service, and overseeing the daily cleaning operations. Chem Dry's requirements, restrictions, prohibitions, specifications, and procedures of the franchise system do not imply that Chem Dry controls any aspect of the day-to-day operations.
However, the franchisee must adhere to brand standards when exercising control of the day-to-day operations of the business. This ensures consistency across all Chem Dry franchise locations and helps maintain the brand's reputation. The franchisee is also responsible for conspicuously identifying themselves as the owner of the business under a franchise with Chem Dry in all dealings with customers, suppliers, public officials, and others.
