New Buyer Training and Initial Training
Within 90 days of signing your franchise agreement and before opening your Business, you must complete the New Buyer Training on the operation of a Chem-Dry Business, and you must train your employees. The New Buyer Training is a three-week program consisting of two weeks of at home study and five days of classroom/hands-on training. If this is your first Chem-Dry Business, you will be required to complete New Buyer Training to our satisfaction. New Buyer Training is held monthly at CDI in Logan, Utah, or another location designated by CDI. The Initial Package includes the cost for you and one other person to attend the New Buyer Training. Additional attendees may attend this training program, which we call "Initial Training," and you will be charged $75 per day per person to attend Initial Training. You are responsible for all travel expense

According to Chem-Dry's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the New Buyer Training is primarily held at CDI in Logan, Utah. However, the training may occasionally be held at another location designated by CDI. The in-person portion of the New Buyer Training covers a range of topics relevant to operating a Chem-Dry franchise. These topics include staff introductions, job overviews, equipment setup and hands-on carpet cleaning, understanding the Gateway and its resources, product line education, specialty spot cleaning, van loading and job preparation, in-home carpet cleaning, marketing, equipment maintenance, upholstery cleaning, business management, financial reports, commercial accounts, and area rug cleaning.
For prospective Chem-Dry franchisees, it is important to note that while the initial franchise package covers the cost for the franchisee and one other person to attend the New Buyer Training, additional attendees will be charged $75 per day per person. Franchisees are also responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred while attending the training. Additionally, franchisees must complete the New Buyer Training within 90 days of signing the franchise agreement and before opening their business.
