Training
Before opening your Franchised Restaurant, you (or the Operating Partner described in Item 15) and any general managers of the Franchised Restaurant that have not managed a Restaurant within the preceding 18 months must successfully complete to our satisfaction an initial training program. The initial training program must be completed before the opening date of each Restaurant.
The initial training program consists of hands-on training covering all phases of restaurant operations, including food preparation, equipment operation and maintenance, cost control, inventory control and basic techniques of management. The initial training program is substantially similar for all Restaurants, with some variation based on preparation methods used by Checkers Restaurants or Rally's Restaurants. The subjects covered, approximate hours of classroom and on-the-job training, and other information about our initial training program is described below:

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Checkersrallys' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, initial training is provided to the franchisee (or their Operating Partner) and the restaurant's general manager. To be eligible for training, general managers must not have managed a restaurant within the 18 months preceding the training. This initial training must be completed before the restaurant's opening date.
The initial training program covers all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, equipment maintenance, cost control, inventory management, and basic management techniques. The training program is generally consistent across all restaurants, though some variations exist based on the specific preparation methods used by Checkers or Rally's restaurants.
Checkersrallys does not charge any fees for two attendees participating in the initial training program. However, the franchisee is responsible for all compensation and expenses, including travel, meals, and lodging, incurred during the training. Additional fees may apply for extra attendees or for the franchisee and their personnel attending any further training programs, whether optional or mandatory.
