What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Checkersrallys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the addendum can be executed and signed with electronic signatures. The addendum's counterparts may be signed electronically by any of the parties involved and delivered via electronic or digital communication to another party in the agreement. The receiving party can depend on the electronically signed and delivered document as if it were an original copy.

For the purposes of the Checkersrallys addendum, an electronic signature includes, but is not limited to, an electronic act or acknowledgement (like clicking an "I Accept" button), a sound, a symbol such as a digitized signature block, or a process attached to or logically associated with a record. This electronic signature must be executed or adopted by a person with the intent to sign the record.

This means that Checkersrallys franchisees can sign the addendum remotely, which can speed up the process of finalizing the agreement. It also reduces the need for physical documents, making the process more efficient and environmentally friendly. Franchisees should ensure they understand what constitutes an acceptable electronic signature to Checkersrallys, such as specific software or methods, to avoid any issues with the validity of their signature.
