Checkersrallys Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

"Fiscal Year" – Our fiscal year, as we may determine at any time and from time to time, consisting of either 52 or 53 weekly periods (depending on the particular fiscal year), each containing seven (7) consecutive calendar days, the first weekly period of which shall coincide with the first day of the first Biweekly Period of the fiscal year. Currently, the last day of our Fiscal Year occurs on that particular Monday, and the first day our next Fiscal Year occurs on that particular Tuesday, closest to December 31st in any calendar year (regardless of whether such days arise in late December of one calendar year or early January of the next calendar year).

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Checkersrallys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Fiscal Year' is defined as the company's fiscal year, which Checkersrallys may determine and change over time. It consists of either 52 or 53 weekly periods, depending on the specific fiscal year. Each weekly period contains seven consecutive calendar days.

The first weekly period of Checkersrallys's fiscal year coincides with the first day of the first Bi-weekly Period of the fiscal year. Currently, the last day of Checkersrallys's Fiscal Year falls on the Monday closest to December 31st in any calendar year, and the first day of the next Fiscal Year is the following Tuesday. This definition applies regardless of whether those days occur in late December of one calendar year or early January of the next.

For a prospective Checkersrallys franchisee, understanding the fiscal year is important because several reporting requirements are tied to it. For example, franchisees must furnish Checkersrallys with year-end financial statements within 90 days after the end of each fiscal year. The specific start and end dates of the fiscal year can therefore impact the timing and deadlines for these reports.
