What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Checkersrallys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company considers several factors when deciding whether to consent to a relocation of a franchised restaurant. These factors include the general location and neighborhood, demographic information, traffic patterns, access, and visibility. Checkersrallys also takes into account the location of other restaurants and food establishments, including other Checkersrallys locations.

Furthermore, Checkersrallys assesses the physical characteristics of the site, such as its size, condition, configuration, and appearance. This suggests that Checkersrallys aims to ensure that the site is suitable for the restaurant's operations and aligns with the brand's image. The FDD states that Checkersrallys considers these factors as it, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate.

Prospective franchisees should note that the Designated Area, appointed for site selection, does not confer any territorial exclusivity or protection. This means that while Checkersrallys will work with the franchisee to find a suitable location, the franchisee will not have exclusive rights to that area. Franchisees operating under a Development Agreement must have locations approved according to Checkersrallys's criteria for site selection.
