What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Checkersrallys's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the addendum's counterparts can be executed and signed electronically by any party. These electronically signed documents can be delivered via electronic or digital communications to another party involved in the agreement. The receiving party can then rely on the receipt of these electronically signed and delivered documents as if they were original copies.
For the purposes of the addendum, an electronic signature includes, but is not limited to, an electronic act or acknowledgement, such as clicking an "I Accept" button, a sound, a symbol like a digitized signature block, or any process attached to or logically associated with a record that is executed or adopted by a person with the intent to sign the record.
This means that Checkersrallys franchisees can sign the addendum using electronic signatures, which streamlines the signing process and potentially reduces administrative delays. This is a common practice in the franchise industry, as it allows for faster and more efficient contract execution.
