What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Checkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Checkers and its designated agents have specific rights regarding the inspection of a franchised restaurant. Checkers can inspect the restaurant at any reasonable time without prior notice. This includes the right to observe, photograph, audio-tape, and/or video tape the restaurant's operations.
Additionally, Checkers has the right to remove samples of any food and beverage products, materials, or supplies for testing and analysis. They can also interview personnel and customers at the franchised restaurant. The franchisee must cooperate fully with these inspection activities.
Checkers states that these evaluations or inspections are conducted to protect their interests in the System and the Marks. These inspections do not constitute control over the day-to-day operations of the franchised restaurant. The franchisee agrees not to argue otherwise, acknowledging that the success of the franchise depends largely on their own abilities, efforts, and financial resources.
