Does Checkers provide on-site evaluation of proposed restaurant sites?

According to Checkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Checkers will furnish franchisees with its standard site selection criteria for Restaurants. Checkers also states that they will provide on-site evaluation of sites proposed as they deem necessary or appropriate.

However, to initiate the site selection process, franchisees must submit a complete franchise application and site application form for each proposed site. This application should include a description of the site, traffic patterns, parking information, neighborhood character, competition details, proximity to other businesses, and evidence of favorable prospects for obtaining the site, such as a letter of intent.

Checkers will then either accept or reject the proposed site based on factors they deem appropriate, such as location, demographics, traffic, access, visibility, nearby restaurants, and the site's physical characteristics. Checkers aims to make a decision within 30 days of receiving the complete site report and any other requested materials. The FDD also states that any suggestion, approval, or information regarding a site is not a representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, of the site's suitability for a Restaurant or any other purpose.
