What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Checkers Franchise Disclosure Document, the signature page of the franchise agreement requires specific information depending on the franchisee's business structure. For franchisees operating as a corporation, limited liability company, or partnership, the signature page requires the printed name of the entity.
In addition to the entity name, the signature page also requires spaces for additional printed names. These may be names of individuals authorized to sign on behalf of the entity. The agreement also includes signature lines and printed name fields for franchisees who are individuals, requiring each individual to provide their signature and printed name.
Furthermore, the agreement includes a space to specify the effective date. This date signifies when the agreement officially takes effect. Checkers also requires that franchisees acknowledge they received the Franchise Disclosure Document and Franchise Agreement within the legally required time frame.
