What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Checkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must submit a complete application for a franchise and a site application form for each proposed restaurant site. This application must align with Checkers' current standard site selection criteria.
The site application needs to include a detailed description of the proposed site. This description should summarize traffic patterns, parking availability, the character of the neighborhood, and the nature of other nearby businesses. The application must also address competition from other businesses and their proximity to the proposed Checkers location.
Furthermore, the site application must include a letter of intent or other evidence that confirms the franchisee's favorable prospects for securing the proposed site. This documentation demonstrates the franchisee's progress in acquiring the location and their likelihood of success in obtaining it. Checkers will then accept or reject the site application.
