What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Checkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a 'Bi-weekly Period' is defined as each two-week period starting on a Tuesday and continuing through the second Monday thereafter. Checkers retains the right to change this schedule.
However, the first Bi-weekly Period in any Fiscal Year for Checkers begins on the first day of their Fiscal Year for that year, regardless of the day of the week.
Currently, Checkers' fiscal year begins on the Tuesday closest to December 31st, whether that falls in late December or early January of the following calendar year. For a prospective franchisee, this definition is important for understanding payment schedules, reporting deadlines, and other obligations tied to these periods.
