What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Checkers Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement indicates that Checkers restaurants feature a limited menu of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and/or such other menu items as Checkers may authorize at any time and from time to time.

This means that Checkers retains the right to modify the menu offerings at its restaurants, including those operated by franchisees. For a prospective franchisee, this implies that the menu is not fixed and can change based on the franchisor's decisions. These changes could be influenced by market trends, supply chain considerations, or the franchisor's strategic initiatives.

While menu innovation can be a positive aspect of a franchise system, keeping the brand relevant and competitive, franchisees should be aware that they may be required to adapt to menu changes, which could involve additional costs for new equipment, ingredients, or training. Therefore, it is important for potential franchisees to understand the frequency and scope of potential menu changes and how these changes might affect their restaurant's operations and profitability.
