What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Checkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to obtain a firewall system from one of Checkers' preferred vendors. The current Firewall Fee ranges from $190 to $211, excluding applicable taxes. This fee is paid quarterly.
If a franchisee chooses to use Acumera for their firewall system, they must pay Checkers or its affiliate the ongoing cost for Acumera's firewall system. Item 11 of the FDD provides further details on this requirement.
The Firewall Fee is subject to increase based on Checkers' third-party provider's increased costs. This means that the fee could fluctuate over the term of the franchise agreement, potentially impacting the franchisee's operating expenses.
