- 1.01 Restaurants. We own, operate and franchise "Checkers" and "Rally's"-branded restaurants, which feature a limited menu of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and/or such other menu items as we may authorize at any time and from time to time.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Checkers' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Checkers owns, operates, and franchises both "Checkers" and "Rally's"-branded restaurants. These restaurants feature a limited menu consisting of hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and other menu items that Checkers may authorize.
This means that as a franchisee, you may operate either a Checkers or a Rally's restaurant, both of which are part of the same franchise system. The menu will be standardized, but Checkers retains the right to modify it.
Prospective franchisees should be aware that Checkers maintains the right to operate and franchise both Checkers and Rally's restaurants, as well as restaurants under other brands. They also retain the right to sell products and services under the Marks or under any other trademarks, service marks or trade dress, through alternative channels of distribution, including without limitation, the internet or similar electronic media and supermarkets.
