What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chatime may approve a proposed site for a new Outlet subject to certain conditions. Chatime may require the franchisee to renovate and remodel the interior and exterior of the new Outlet according to Chatime's latest design guidelines. These design guidelines are determined at Chatime's sole discretion.

Before Chatime's approval, the developer must select sites that reasonably conform to the Development Area Site Selection Criteria. The franchisee must obtain written approval from Chatime before establishing an Outlet and must follow the process outlined in the Operations Manual to get approval for a site. Chatime has 30 days to provide approval or non-approval after receiving all required information. If Chatime requests additional information, the 30-day period begins upon receipt of that additional information.

If Chatime does not approve a proposed site, it must provide written notice specifying that approval is withheld and explaining the reasons for withholding approval. After receiving written approval from Chatime, the franchisee must promptly secure an Occupancy Right for the approved site. This ensures the franchisee has the legal right to occupy and operate the Chatime Outlet at the chosen location.
