What training requirements must a proposed manager of a Chatime franchise meet before assignment approval?

According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee seeks to assign their franchise to a new owner, the proposed manager of the assignee must be approved by Chatime and must successfully complete Chatime's required training program. Chatime also requires that the day-to-day operations of the franchised business are actively managed by an Operating Manager who has attended and successfully completed such training as Chatime may require from time to time. If a Managing Owner or Operating Manager does not satisfactorily complete the initial training program, Chatime may elect to train a qualified replacement at the franchisee's expense within 30 days. Pending the appointment and training of a new manager, Chatime reserves the right to appoint a manager for the business, with the franchisee responsible for the associated costs.
