What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Chatime Franchise Disclosure Document, maintaining the integrity of the Chatime Menu is critical to the brand's image, and franchisees must adhere to specific requirements set by Chatime. Franchisees are obligated to strictly comply with Chatime's stipulations regarding the Chatime Menu itself and the designated areas and methods for preparing food items for sale at the outlet. These requirements are detailed in the Operations Manual or as otherwise communicated by Chatime.
Chatime franchisees must offer the complete range of food and beverage items listed on the Chatime Menu, preparing them strictly according to the menu's guidelines. They are prohibited from offering, selling, or supplying any food or beverages that are not included on the Chatime Menu. Furthermore, franchisees are required to source all products, including raw materials, necessary for preparing Chatime Menu items exclusively from Approved Suppliers.
In practical terms, this means a prospective Chatime franchisee has limited flexibility in what they can sell and how they prepare it. They cannot introduce new menu items or alter existing ones without Chatime's approval. Sourcing ingredients from unapproved suppliers is also forbidden. This ensures consistency across all Chatime locations, maintaining brand standards and customer expectations. Franchisees should carefully review the Operations Manual and any updates from Chatime to fully understand these requirements and their implications for day-to-day operations.
