What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must ensure their Chatime store is accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. Prior to opening, the store must meet the Standards for Accessible Design for new construction.
In addition to the federal standards, the Chatime store must also meet any more stringent accessibility standards required under state or local law. This means franchisees need to be aware of and comply with all applicable accessibility regulations in their specific location.
This requirement ensures that all Chatime stores are inclusive and compliant with disability laws, protecting both the franchisee and the brand from potential legal issues. Franchisees should consult with qualified professionals to ensure their store design and construction meet all necessary accessibility standards before opening.
