What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Operating Manager, along with the Managing Owner, must attend and complete the training programs to Chatime's satisfaction. This includes the initial training. Chatime can designate where the training will be conducted.

If the Managing Owner or Operating Manager does not satisfactorily complete the initial training program, or if Chatime determines that such person cannot satisfactorily complete the training program, Chatime can elect to train a qualified replacement at the franchisee's expense within 30 days. The replacement must be reasonably acceptable to Chatime.

This requirement ensures that individuals in charge of the daily operations of the Chatime store are adequately trained to meet Chatime's standards. The franchisee bears the expense of training a replacement if the initial manager fails to complete the program satisfactorily. This underscores the importance of selecting a capable Operating Manager who can meet Chatime's training requirements.
