What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all training, including the initial training and ongoing competency-based training, will be conducted in English. This requirement extends to the franchisee, their senior managers, and any guarantors throughout the term of the franchise agreement.
Chatime also stipulates that franchisees and their managers must possess sufficient literacy and fluency in English to successfully complete the Initial Training Program and effectively communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers. This language proficiency is crucial for the franchisee to manage the business effectively and ensure smooth operations.
If a franchisee fails to complete the approved training programs satisfactorily and in a timely manner, Chatime will provide additional training at the franchisee's expense. This additional training may take place within the franchisee's territory or at another location determined by Chatime. The franchisee will be responsible for covering all associated costs and expenses, including compensation, travel, accommodations, and meals for the trainers. This highlights the importance of ensuring that the franchisee and their team are proficient in English to avoid incurring additional training costs and potential delays in opening or operating the Chatime store.
