What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must pay a $5,000 non-refundable initial training fee for each Franchise Agreement. This fee covers the initial training program, which lasts for two weeks and accommodates up to four attendees. Chatime representatives conduct the training.

In addition to the initial training fee, franchisees are responsible for covering the expenses associated with travel and accommodation for themselves and their employees. The FDD estimates these costs to be around $200 per person per day. These expenses can add a significant amount to the initial investment required to start a Chatime franchise.

The initial training fee is a standard practice in the franchise industry. It is important for prospective franchisees to factor in not only the training fee itself but also the additional costs of travel and accommodation when assessing the overall financial commitment required to start a Chatime franchise. The total initial investment for a single Chatime unit, including the training fee, ranges from $80,900 to $91,400.
