What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chatime has the right to inspect the premises of any Outlet during specific hours. Chatime, at any time, during normal Business Hours and one hour before and one hour after normal Business Hours, may inspect the premises of any Outlet.
This inspection is for the purpose of monitoring compliance by the franchisee of its operational and financial obligations under the terms of the Franchise Agreement. This includes ensuring compliance with financial obligations and verifying any financial information provided by the franchisee to Chatime.
This clause in the FDD allows Chatime to actively monitor and ensure that franchisees are adhering to the standards and requirements set forth in the franchise agreement, which is a common practice in franchising to maintain brand consistency and protect the overall network. The ability to inspect both during and slightly outside of normal business hours provides Chatime with some flexibility in conducting these oversight activities.
