What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Chatime has the right to inspect the premises of an Outlet during specific hours. Chatime, at any time during normal Business Hours and one hour before and one hour after normal Business Hours, can inspect the premises of any Outlet.
This inspection is for the purpose of monitoring compliance by the franchisee of its operational obligations under the terms of the Franchise Agreement. It also ensures compliance by the franchisee of its financial obligations under the Franchise Agreement and verifying any financial information provided by the franchisee to Chatime.
For a prospective Chatime franchisee, this means they should expect inspections during the store's regular operating hours, as well as up to one hour before opening and one hour after closing. Franchisees should maintain accurate records and ensure operational compliance to avoid any issues during these inspections. Understanding 'Business Hours' is crucial, as it is defined in the agreement and could be influenced by local legal requirements or lease terms.
