What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, fees for each component of the technology stack are payable either directly to the designated supplier or to Chatime, if so designated. The FDD specifies that the technology stack includes the Revel point of sale system, customer-facing self-serve kiosk, digital menu board and supporting software, Olo delivery aggregator middleware, Como Chatime digital application (app) and CRM for customer ordering and communication, and Deputy time and attendance and rostering software.
The estimated monthly license fees for the technology stack range from $700 to $950. However, this amount can vary if a franchisee chooses to use additional optional features or touchpoints. The initial cost of purchasing or leasing the technology systems is estimated to be between $10,500 and $14,000.
Chatime may modify the components of the technology stack to improve location operations and customer experience, and franchisees may be required to upgrade or update their point-of-sale or computer systems if Chatime determines it is in the best interest of the brand. Franchisees are responsible for all initial and ongoing costs associated with the technology stack and any associated payment procedures specified in the Operations Manual or Global Policies and Procedures. The franchisee is also responsible for ensuring that connectivity is maintained at the Chatime store to allow data from the point-of-sale system to be captured by Chatime's central polling server.
