What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the brand will communicate its operational methods, standards, and specifications to franchisees in writing. These communications will be delivered through the confidential Operations Manual and other proprietary guidelines and writings. Chatime retains the right to modify these standards and specifications as it deems necessary, and franchisees are responsible for covering any costs associated with complying with these changes.

Chatime franchisees must operate their stores in strict accordance with the brand's established methods, standards, and specifications. These standards apply to all aspects of the Chatime store. Franchisees are only allowed to market, offer, sell, and provide approved products and services that meet Chatime's system standards. Before the store opens, Chatime will provide a list of approved products and services, along with their standards and specifications, usually as part of the Operations Manual. This list can be updated or modified by Chatime at any time.

If a franchisee wants to offer a product or service that is not on the approved list or use an item that doesn't meet Chatime's standards, they must first get written approval from Chatime. This ensures that everything offered at the Chatime store aligns with the brand's quality and standards. Chatime also has the right to require franchisees to purchase necessary items or services from approved or designated suppliers, which may include Chatime itself or its affiliates. A list of approved suppliers will be provided in writing, typically within the Operations Manual, and this list can be updated by Chatime as needed.
