What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Chatime's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Business Name' refers to "Chatime" and any other name or logo associated with the operation of the Chatime Store Business. The specific names and logos will be communicated to the franchisee by Chatime in accordance with the terms outlined in the franchise documents.
This definition is important for prospective franchisees because it clarifies that while "Chatime" is the primary brand name, other names or logos may be used in connection with the business. Franchisees must adhere to the names and logos that Chatime designates and communicates to them, as specified in the franchise documents. This ensures brand consistency and uniformity across all Chatime locations.
The control over the 'Business Name' allows Chatime to maintain a consistent brand image and adapt its marketing strategies as needed. For a franchisee, this means they must be prepared to use any names or logos that Chatime approves and communicates to them, ensuring they remain compliant with the franchisor's branding guidelines. This also highlights the importance of carefully reviewing the franchise documents to understand how Chatime will communicate these changes and what obligations the franchisee has in implementing them.
