What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Central Bark Doggy Day Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, System Standards encompass the mandatory specifications, standards, operating procedures, and rules set by the franchisor, which may be updated periodically. Franchisees must operate their Central Bark Facility in strict accordance with these standards to maintain the quality and uniformity of the brand. These standards cover various aspects of the business, including the condition and appearance of the premises, maintenance, modifications, and overall image.

Central Bark Doggy Day Care franchisees must maintain their premises to reflect an attractive, clean, and efficient canine care facility. This includes regular maintenance, modifications to layout and decor, and replacement of worn-out fixtures. The franchisor has the right to inspect the premises and require franchisees to correct any deficiencies in appearance or cleanliness. Franchisees are also obligated to upgrade or remodel their locations according to the franchisor's plans and specifications.

System Standards also restrict franchisees from engaging in activities that could harm the Central Bark Doggy Day Care brand or compete with the franchisor's interests. Franchisees cannot have interests in competitive businesses (with exceptions for other Central Bark Doggy Day Care franchises), disclose confidential information, or divert business to competitors. They are also prohibited from disparaging the brand or misusing the System Standards. Compliance with System Standards is crucial for franchisees, as it affects their ability to renew their franchise agreement. To renew their agreement for an additional ten-year term, franchisees must be in full compliance with all System Standards.
