op, less one. A typical MUFA involves the development of between two and five CENTRAL BARK facilities, depending on the size of the Multi-Unit Territory, resulting in a multi-unit rights fee ranging from $15,000 to $75,000. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Central Bark Doggy Day Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the reimbursement for the lease review fee is not refundable under any circumstances. If a franchisee or landlord requests modifications to the lease assignment agreement, Central Bark Doggy Day Care may agree to consider them, but the franchisee must reimburse Central Bark Doggy Day Care for all expenses incurred during the review, including attorney's fees.
The FDD states that the estimated cost for the lease review may be up to $2,500, depending on the extent of the requested changes. This fee covers Central Bark Doggy Day Care's expenses for reviewing any modifications to the lease assignment agreement.
This non-refundable policy means that a prospective Central Bark Doggy Day Care franchisee will not get this money back, even if the lease modifications are rejected or the deal falls through. Franchisees should factor this potential cost into their initial investment and negotiate lease terms carefully to minimize the need for modifications.
