What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Central Bark Doggy Day Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Multi-Unit Rights Fee is non-refundable. The fee itself varies depending on the number of Central Bark Doggy Day Care locations the franchisee commits to opening. The Multi-Unit Rights Fee is calculated as $15,000 multiplied by the number of Central Bark Doggy Day Care facilities the franchisee agrees to open, less one.

For instance, if a franchisee agrees to open two Central Bark Doggy Day Care facilities, the Multi-Unit Rights Fee would be $15,000. If they agree to open five facilities, the fee would be $75,000. This fee compensates Central Bark Doggy Day Care for granting the franchisee the rights to develop multiple locations within a specific territory.

It is important to note that this Multi-Unit Rights Fee is separate from the initial franchise fee required for each individual Central Bark Doggy Day Care location. The initial franchise fee for each subsequent location after the first under a Multi-Unit Franchise Agreement (MUFA) is $31,000. While a portion of the initial franchise fee is refundable under certain circumstances, the Multi-Unit Rights Fee itself is not.

Prospective franchisees should carefully consider their development plans and financial capabilities before entering into a Multi-Unit Franchise Agreement with Central Bark Doggy Day Care, as the non-refundable Multi-Unit Rights Fee represents a significant upfront investment. Understanding the terms and conditions of the MUFA is crucial to avoid any potential financial risks.
