What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Central Bark Doggy Day Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Marks' are the trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and other commercial symbols associated with the CENTRAL BARK® brand. These marks are owned and licensed by Central Bark Doggy Day Care and are used to identify the System and distinguish Central Bark Doggy Day Care facilities as operating to the franchisor's quality standards. As a franchisee, you are granted the right to use these Marks for the operation of your franchised business throughout the term of the agreement.
The franchise agreement emphasizes the importance of maintaining consistent quality and service standards to protect the goodwill associated with the Central Bark Doggy Day Care brand. Franchisees must operate their businesses in strict conformity with the franchisor's mandatory specifications, standards, operating procedures, and rules, which may be updated from time to time. This ensures that all Central Bark Doggy Day Care locations maintain a uniform image and level of service.
Upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, franchisees must immediately cease using the Marks in any manner, including advertising and on any materials. They must also take necessary actions to remove the 'CENTRAL BARK' name from their business name or any equivalent registration. Failure to comply allows Central Bark Doggy Day Care to take legal action to discontinue the use of the name at the franchisee's expense. This highlights the importance of the Marks to the Central Bark Doggy Day Care brand and the franchisor's efforts to protect them.
