Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Franchisor has established a centralized website (the "Franchise System Website") to promote Central Bark Facilities, their products and services, and the CENTRAL BARK franchise opportunity. Franchisor may, but is not obligated to, provide Franchisee with a microsite on the Franchise System Website referencing the Franchised Business. As long as a microsite is provided, Franchisee must: (i) supply all information and materials Franchisor requests to create, update, or modify the microsite; (ii) promptly notify Franchisor of any inaccuracies; (iii) notify Franchisor of any changes made by Franchisee (if permitted to modify the microsite); and (iv) pay Franchisor or its designated supplier the then-current setup and monthly maintenance fees. Franchisor owns all rights in the Franchise System Website and its content, including Franchisee's microsite, domain names, visitor data, and any personal or business information submitted by users.

Franchisor may use Fund assets to develop, maintain, and update the Franchise System Website and may charge Franchisee a separate website fee. Franchisor may update or modify the Franchise System Website, including Franchisee's microsite, at any time and has final approval over all content. Franchisee's microsite will only remain active while Franchisee is in full compliance with this Agreement and all applicable System Standards. If Franchisee defaults, Franchisor may suspend or remove the microsite until the default is cured. Upon expiration or termination of this Agreement, the microsite will be permanently removed.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

Based on the 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Central Bark Doggy Day Care grants franchisees the right to use its Marks and System, but this does not imply ownership of these assets. Franchisees do not acquire ownership of the Central Bark Doggy Day Care System, Marks, or website content. Instead, they are granted the right to use them during the franchise agreement. This is a typical franchise arrangement, where the franchisor retains ownership of its intellectual property and brand assets.

Central Bark Doggy Day Care retains ownership of key elements of its brand and operations. This includes the centralized website used to promote Central Bark Doggy Day Care facilities, their products, services, and the franchise opportunity itself. The franchisor owns all rights to the Franchise System Website and its content, including any microsites provided to franchisees, domain names, visitor data, and any personal or business information submitted by users.

For a prospective Central Bark Doggy Day Care franchisee, this means that while they can utilize the brand's established identity and online presence, they do not own these assets. Upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, the franchisee's right to use these assets ceases, and any microsite they had will be permanently removed. This underscores the importance of understanding the terms of the franchise agreement and the limitations on asset ownership.
