Are all fees uniform for Cd One Price Cleaners franchisees?

According to Cd One Price Cleaners' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, most fees are uniform across franchisees. Note 1 in Item 6 states that unless otherwise specified, all fees are uniform and imposed and collected by Cd One Price Cleaners. These fees are also non-refundable unless stated otherwise. Cd One Price Cleaners may require franchisees to pay amounts owed to them or their affiliates via electronic fund transfer (EFT) or another method they specify. Franchisees must sign the EFT Authorization Documentation attached to the Franchise Agreement and PUD Addendum to implement any EFT or other payment method. This indicates a standardized approach to fee collection. However, there are exceptions to this uniformity.

For example, the Technology Fee and Marketing Fund contributions are uniform for similarly situated Cd One Price Cleaners franchisees, but Cd One Price Cleaners may change the methods of calculating and paying these fees with 60 days' notice. The Sublease occupancy costs can vary from about $5,500 to $10,000 per month plus common area maintenance charges, depending on the prime lease terms when acquiring a store owned by another franchisee on a Sublease. The costs and attorneys’ fees, indemnification, and audit expenses will vary based on individual circumstances. Special marketing, management, and operational assistance performed at a franchisee's request can also vary, with a reasonable fee currently at $80 per hour plus expenses, but will not be more than $300 per hour.

Prospective Cd One Price Cleaners franchisees should be aware that while many fees are standardized, some fees are subject to change or dependent on specific circumstances, such as the location of the franchise, the services requested, or potential legal issues. It is important to carefully review Item 6 of the FDD and discuss any potential variable fees with the franchisor to fully understand the financial obligations.
