What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Casiola Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has the option to renew their franchise for up to two additional five-year terms, labeled the "First Renewal Term" and the "Second Renewal Term." The Second Renewal Term is only applicable if the franchisee meets specific requirements.

To be eligible for the Second Renewal Term, the franchisee must be in compliance with the terms of the franchise agreement, including any renewal franchise agreement. Additionally, the franchisee must independently and punctually fulfill the renewal conditions outlined in Article 15 of the agreement for both the First and Second Renewal Terms.

In practical terms, this means a Casiola franchisee cannot assume they will automatically receive a second renewal. They must consistently adhere to the franchise agreement, meet all renewal requirements, and take proactive steps to secure their renewal rights for both the initial and subsequent five-year extension periods. Failing to meet these conditions at any point could jeopardize their opportunity for the Second Renewal Term.
