What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee transfers their business to a new owner, the transferee and their employees must complete any training programs that are in effect for franchisees at the time of the transfer. This includes the transferee, the transferee's Managing Owner, managers, and any other applicable employees of the Casiola Business. The transferee is responsible for covering the expenses associated with this training.
This requirement ensures that the new owner and their team are properly trained in the Casiola system and can maintain the standards of operation. The training programs will be based on the terms and conditions set forth in the Franchise Agreement or as Casiola reasonably requires. This could include initial training programs, refresher courses, or system-wide training courses that Casiola periodically implements.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that if they plan to sell their Casiola business in the future, the buyer will need to factor in the cost of training for themselves and their employees. It also ensures that Casiola maintains a consistent level of service and quality across all its franchise locations, regardless of ownership changes. The specific content and duration of these training programs are subject to change by Casiola.
