What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Casiola's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a supplemental training fee is required when a new Operating Manager is hired under certain conditions. Specifically, if Casiola agrees to offer supplemental training, the franchisee must pay a supplemental training fee of $750 per trainer per day. This fee also includes reimbursement for travel and hotel accommodation expenses incurred by Casiola.

Notably, Casiola may require a franchisee or their Operating Manager to participate in supplemental training if the franchisee hires a new Operating Manager or if Casiola determines that the franchisee is not meeting operational standards. The franchisee is responsible for pre-paying these supplemental training fees upon receiving an invoice from Casiola.

This policy means that franchisees need to budget for potential supplemental training costs, especially when hiring new managers or if their business operations fall below Casiola's standards. The cost can be significant, considering the per-trainer, per-day fee plus travel and accommodation expenses. Franchisees should proactively maintain operational standards to minimize the risk of being required to undergo supplemental training.
